A Christmas Prayer by Amy Parker

A Christmas Prayer is a great book to read to your child with Christmas creeping up. It shows us that Christmas isn't just about gifts like dolls, books, games, etc but thanking God for the gifts He has given us. The book thanks Gabriel, Mary, Joseph, the donkey, the manger, the shepherds, the bright star, and thanks God, for Jesus. The gifts they gave weren't gifts you could play with or see but they were gifts from the heart. Gabriel brought news of great joy, Mary for letting faith lead the way, Joseph for trusting His good plan, the donkey helped them all leave and brought Mary to Bethlehem, the manger a bed made out of hay, the shepherds announcing peace on earth. the bright star that shined and led the way and God for the birth of Jesus. These gifts weren't toys or things that were fun to play with but things that helped other people.
